Every summer, Verona’s Roman amphitheatre becomes a monumental opera stage. The Arena di Verona Opera Festival combines architectural heritage, large-scale productions, concerts and ballet in an open-air setting.
An operatic landmark
The programme brings works by Verdi, Puccini and other composers into productions designed for the Arena’s vast stage, historic seating and distinctive atmosphere.
The 2026 festival
The 103rd edition runs from 12 June to 12 September 2026. Announced productions include La Traviata, Aida, Nabucco, La Bohème and Turandot, alongside ballet and concert evenings.
Planning a visit
Performances take place in the evening. Times, casts and access conditions differ by date, so visitors should check the official calendar before travelling.
