About this event
The 11th Taza International Ciné Café Festival has confirmed dates
The festival will take place from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 December 2026 in Taza and surrounding venues. A newly published submission announcement from the organising association, reported by the daily newspaper Assabah, confirms the dates which had previously appeared as tentative on Culturama. The organising association coordinates the event with the Moroccan Cinematographic Centre and the Ofoq Annokhba Foundation.
Competition and film submissions
The organisers have opened entries for the official competition, which comprises two film categories. The available statement identifies a category dedicated to cinematic works, but the second category's precise eligibility rules, the final selection and individual screening slots have not yet been independently established. No films from previous editions should be reused as the 2026 line-up.
Tribute to Noureddine Saïl
The new press announcement also highlights a planned tribute to Noureddine Saïl, the influential Moroccan film critic, audiovisual leader and cultural policymaker. The tribute reflects the festival's broader commitment to film culture, discussion and transmission. A precise session time and full arrangements have yet to be published.
