About this event
Led by the Centre for Common Memory, Democracy and Peace, FICMEC has built its identity around cinema as a tool for engaging with memory, transitional justice, human rights, reconciliation, tolerance and peace. For several days, Nador becomes a space not only for screenings but also for discussion between filmmakers, researchers, civil-society actors and audiences.
The festival traditionally combines films in competition, filmmaker encounters, round tables, public debates and awareness activities. The 2026 edition introduces a new youth component with the first “Youth Circle for Peace”, taking place from November 13 to 18 as part of the festival.
This youth programme is designed to involve young participants directly in themes of peace, intercultural dialogue and citizenship, extending the festival’s educational and civic mission beyond the cinema programme itself.
Detailed screening times, venues and the full programme are still to be announced by the organisers.
