La Robe peau — Free Horror Animation Screening in El Jadida
« La Robe peau » is a 15-minute French animated horror short by Joachim Hérissé. Jean, an ageing tailor who longs for the fashions of the past, still makes his wife work on dresses that nobody wants to wear. A macabre incident inspires him to create something both beautiful and monstrous. The film turns the world of tailoring into a disturbing fantasy, using fabric, craft and visual detail to explore obsession and the price of pursuing an ideal of beauty. Although animated, it is a horror film rather than a children's cartoon.

The screening belongs to the Institut français d'El Jadida's Night of Horror, alongside the Moroccan supernatural feature « Hôtel de la paix » directed by Jamal Belmejdoub.
