About this event

The Instituto Cervantes in Tangier organises its ‘Pequeños lectores’ programme for children aged 4 to 9. Led by Gabriela Carreño at the Juan Goytisolo Library, it combines storytelling, illustrated books, listening, discussion and complementary activities. The programme encourages reading for pleasure, curiosity, language awareness and a love of stories from an early age. Sessions take place at 99 Avenue Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah. Admission is free for library members, subject to capacity. **This week's story: My Great Treasure** — María carries a treasure taught to her by her mother: the strengths of a turtle, a lion and an owl. By learning to use her voice, she discovers inner resources for facing life's challenges. This storytelling session explores confidence, self-expression and courage through an imaginative tale. **Visitor details** — Monday 2026-12-07, 4:30–5:30 p.m., Juan Goytisolo Library, 99 Avenue Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah, Tangier.
