The international Gaudí Cycle brings Romería (2025), directed by Carla Simón, to Cinéma Le 7ème Art. Selected for the 2025 Cannes Film Festival competition, the drama explores family memory, hidden histories and a young woman's search for her roots.
About the film
At 18, Marina travels to Spain's Atlantic coast to meet relatives from her father's side. Guided by her mother's diary, she encounters family stories and long-buried emotions that challenge what she knows about her own past. The film combines an intimate coming-of-age story with an inquiry into intergenerational silences.
