About this event
Embroidered floating cities and ecological imagination
« Villes flottantes #Opus Maroc — Au fil de l’eau et du sacré » brings together visual artist Elsa Mroziewicz and author Cécile Palusinski in a project combining textile craftsmanship, digital art and ecological storytelling. Through residencies and encounters in India, Brazil, Taiwan, Tunisia, Morocco and other territories, the creators have collected local environmental initiatives and translated their stories into detailed embroidered landscapes. These imaginary cities invite visitors to rethink how cultures coexist with their ecosystems.
Augmented reality, sound poetry and Moroccan caftan heritage
The Moroccan chapter draws on a residency at Maison Denise Masson and motifs studied in the Musée Monde des arts de la parure with curator Alaa Eddine Sagid. The Iminouzerg collective, Timendotes and Brodeuse Voyageuse brought the embroidery to life, reinterpreting the sfifa, qitan and âaqad of Moroccan caftan craft. A dedicated augmented-reality app animates the murals and introduces sound haikus and recorded travel diaries, connecting textile art to interactive technology.
